Memorial Day!

For Memorial Day weekend, we actually both had 3 full days off, which was just heavenly! So we threw together a very last minute bbq! John, Shy, Chris, Jessica, Nate, and Riddick were nice enough to make the trek over to Inwood to eat some food and play a mad game of Nertz and hang out. Mr. and Mrs. Hockman also made an appearance but they escaped before I could get their picture!

Our outdoor pet!

This is our pet groundhog. He lives right outside our bedroom window and comes out quite frequently. He is pretty fun to watch. He has made himself quite a nice home. He has a little porch that he sticks his head out on and he will sunbathe when it is nice out. We have a blue tarp out there and he has taken that and used it for rainy days as his rain cover and he actually tucks it into his hole when it is yucky outside. :) He helps keep our dandelions and weeds down as best he can! His name is Gurgey.

Our new lawn tractor!

Mark is VERY happy with our new lawn tractor! It sure beats the push mower!

Mother's Day

I didn't get a chance to post these before but Mom, Amber, and I went and had pedicures and manicures on Mother's Day! Amber even got to sit in the big spa chair while she had her feet get all bubbly! She chose purple polish for her toes and blue for her fingers and the guy even painted some special flowers on her fingernails! Mom enjoyed the massage chair while she had her pedicure :) Afterwards, we met up with Mark and Papa for dinner at Chili's and the amaaazing dessert I have pictured below!

Strasburg Mayfest

The Strasburg Mayfest was really fun! Uncle Dave, Auntie Barb, Cousin Luke and the kids all came to visit and hang out with us for the day. We have a lot of great photos from the day so I will try to squeeze a bunch of them in here. I might have to make a couple posts.

Inwood Sighting

I had to share this with everyone. We have seen this guy a couple times. It is hard to capture in photos but this is obviously a giant purple van and then he has glued hundreds of plastic dinosaurs onto the roof, hood, sides, and back of his car. He comes to our Food Lion and of course all of the kids go nuts and think it is the coolest thing since the invention of silly putty. Interesting huh?

Amber's first trip to the dentist

I apologize for the delay in getting these pictures up! Papa (or her Papi as Amber would say) took Amber to the dentist a couple weeks ago for the first time. He got some good shots of her in the big chair! No horror stories either :)

Lots of Disasters

We have had a lot of late nights at work lately. Just in the past 2 weeks, we have had NJ, NH, TX and KS declared (flooding, severe storms, and tornadoes). The first picture above is of Texas. The others are recent photos of Kansas. Lots of people dealing with a lot of trauma right now! Please keep them in your prayers.

Contin.

After we went to the craft fair and had lunch, we hung out at the park for awhile. After met a new friend there named Carime and you would have thought they had known each other for years! They made a fort! As you can see, Amber wore us out! Needless to say, she fell asleep in about 3.5 seconds when I put her to bed that night :)

Apple Blossom Weekend!

Mark and I took Amber to the Circus and she had her face painted! Doesn't it look pretty! You can't tell from the picture but it was sparkly too! She slept with it on :) She also bought the necklace at the craft fair with her own allowance money!

We happened upon this castle and decided that we had to take a picture! Neat huh!?
