Unexpected
So today was interesting...it started off with me getting out of a meeting and pondering whether to stick with my current position I was just promoted to or to set off in a different direction in another department. One manager trying to persuade me to leave the other and help them "for the greater good of the company" of course...So that was my dilemma of the morning. And then things changed...the big boss came around and let us know that FEMA had decided NOT to renew their contract with our company and we all had a meeting where he told us that we will keep working for another month but then we will be phased out...aka FIND A NEW JOB! Hmm...I think I liked the first predicament better! Anyway, it was interesting to see how everyone reacted differently. Some immediately started crying, others took 22 smoke breaks, while still others went out and drank margaritas at lunch time...a very extended lunch time. hmmm...
I'm ok though. I don't know if it hasn't sunk in yet or what. This is not to say that I don't care but I have to believe that this happened for a reason and God has a hand in this. He has something else planned for me. I wish I knew what that was because as I peruse the classifieds all I can seem to find in this area are jobs for CDL truck drivers and factory workers and those don't seem to really yell out to me. Although the site of me driving an 18 wheeler is kind of funny. So, as the last month of job security slips away, please pray for me and Mark and of course let me know if you hear of any jobs! hehe. Thanks!
